Wachsman Tapped for Grid Reliability Panel

Eric Wachsman, director of the University of Maryland Energy Research Center and a professor in the Clark School's Department of Materials Science and Engineering, has been asked to participate in a series of roundtable discussions on "Improving the Resiliency of Maryland's Electric Distribution System."

The participants involved in the roundtables will report back to Gov. O'Malley with suggestions for legislative changes, regulatory reforms and other actions within 60 days.

Wachsman was involved in a live-streaming roundtable on August 28. In future roundtables, Clark School civil engineering professor Bilal Ayyub also will speak.
